Grant's Farm

We took the kids to Grant's Farm this morning for the first time.  We left the house bright and early to be one of the first ones there and I'm so glad we did.  We walked right in and were on the first tram of the day.  By the time we left two hours later the line to get in was almost the entire length of the parking lot! Neither Jason or I had been there for a long time and forgot how nice it is.  The kids loved it!

Of course we fed the goats but from outside the fence.  Those guys were hungry!

The kids enjoyed seeing all of the animals and also a got to share a snow cone.  Pretty good morning!

 Jason had to take a business call while we were there.  Dad multitasking at it's finest!

Family Friday

Jason has been traveling a lot for work so when he took Friday off we took full advantage of the beautiful weather and headed to Forest Park for some family time.  We started at the zoo and then found a spot on Art Hill for a picnic lunch.  The kids were great (only minimal tears) and we really enjoyed the day.

We picked a spot on Art Hill for our picnic lunch.  We had a great view of the Grand Basin and the Art Museum.   And a field of dandelions, many of which came home with us!

Zoo fun

My sister and I took all 5 kids to the zoo a couple of weeks ago while the girls and Peyton were on spring break.  It was a cloudy morning and sprinkled on and off so we didn't have to fight big crowds.  Peyton requested to see the elephants.  We also checked out the sea lions.  It's so fun to see this little crew growing up together.
