Maniac

I've mentioned several times how much Peyton sings around the house and how she now makes up her own songs.  Yesterday as she was washing her hands I heard her singing " Mommy's a maniac, Mommy's a maniac".  Funny girl!

7 Months

Didn't I just write Charlie's 6 month post?  Time please slow down!

At 7 months Charlie:

Is sooo close to crawling.  He's does a kind of army crawl but doesn't quite have the arms down so he ends up falling on his face.  I know it's just a short matter of time before he's fully on the move!

Still goes backwards and frequently end ups under furniture :)

Is waving!  It's so cute and I swear he says Hi along with it.  I love this video of him waving to himself in the mirror :)
Has 3 teeth!  He is a much faster/earlier teether than Peyton was.  He's going to have a mouth full by his first birthday!

Loves playing with Peyton

Is doing great eating solids.  He seems to enjoy eating!
Likes to go for walks

Is sleeping pretty good most days/nights.  He is no longer swaddled and sleeps on his tummy.  He snuggles with a little bunny lovey.  He takes two naps and goes to bed between 7 and 7:30

Enjoys bathtime
 Gets cuter by the day!
Cutest little tush ;)

Valentine's Day

Heart toast, cards, and lots and lots of stickers for Peyton (I'm beginning to understand why my sister hates stickers.  I've been finding them everywhere!)

Flowers and chocolate for me.  Tickets to a concert for Jason.

Baking cupcakes with my girl

Snuggles with my little guy
Date night with Jason on Saturday, a fun family day on Sunday with a trip to Faust park to ride on the carousel, and a lazy day on Monday with Jason off for President's Day.

Couldn't have asked for a better weekend celebrating my love for my little family!

My Sweet Girl

Tonight as I was rocking Peyton before bed:
-"Hey Mom I have to tell you sometin."
Sits up so she's looking right in my face.
-"You're the best!"

My sweet, sweet girl.  I hope she always thinks so highly of me :)

Things Peyton Says

Peyton is at an age where she is saying so many cute and funny things.  I need to start documenting them so I don't forget!

Some things she's been saying at 21 months:

  • "I have to leave.  Byeee.  See you later!" (with purse over her shoulder)
  • "Hello. Hi." (when answering the pretend phone) Her tone is so serious it cracks me up every time.
  • "I need to clean"  The girl genuinely like to clean.  Thanks to Lainey for that one!
  • "I love Mama/Daddy"  When we used to say I love you to her she would respond with "yeah"or "ok".  Now she says it back and it melts my heart!
  • "Looks so cute!"
  • "Look in the mirror.  Sooo pretty!"
  • Look so pretty, Mommy
  • She has started calling me Sweetheart
  •  Oh my goodness!

  •  25 months
  • Here my are! (here i am)
  • I'm Tiny!  (Tiny the Dinosaur from Dinosaur Train)
  • "You need a banbaid"
2/7/14
  • norbell (doorbell)

Jason's 30th

I'm a little behind on posting about Jason's 30th birthday.  We were struck with an evil stomach bug over the past week and are finally all feeling better.  It was the first time we've had to deal with such an awful sickness that swept through the family (and my parents) hitting me first and then Jason and Peyton.  Peyton kept saying "It's no fun to be sick!" and she was right.  It was a rough week but we survived.

My youngin of a husband finally turned 30 at the end of January and as my sister said it's about damn time!  We had a great time celebrating with friends and family with a party at The Wheelhouse in Clayton.

30 Rocks!  Our friends loved these Pop Rocks

Some of Jason's family that came out

The morning after.  Jason discovered that 30 year olds have worse hangovers than 29 year olds ;)

My sister and I made the cookie cake for the party.  I baked and she decorated.  I think we make a pretty good team.  Future business partners perhaps?

On Jason's birthday, the kids and I met him for lunch at Deweys and then we had dinner and cake at my parents.
