Charlie's First Haircut

We took Charlie to get his first haircut today.  Honestly, I wasn't quite ready for it but he was developing quite the mullet and was even mistaken for a girl recently soo I figured it was time. He was a little squirmy and unsure about it all at first but then was smiling two seconds later.  It's amazing how a haircut can make my sweet baby boy look so much older!  He looks so stinking cute though!  I just can't handle it sometimes!  This boy sure has his Mama wrapped tight around his little finger :)

Bye bye mullet!

Not so sure about this whole haircut thing...
...and now we're happy again!
My big boy!
The official certificate.  That face...I can't take it!  So cute!

My Little Elsa

Peyton, like many little girls, loves all things Frozen.  She is going to be Elsa for Halloween and has been wearing her costume constantly.  She sings the songs and plays in her ice castle.  It's adorable!

Fall Weekends

Although the weather has not yet cooled to acceptable fall temperatures, we've been enjoying lots of traditional fall activities on the weekends.

We took the kids to their first Mizzou football game.  It was a much different day than game days back when we were students but we had a lot of fun and the kids were great!  We made it into the 3rd quarter before heading out - a big improvement over our recent attempt at a Cardinals game :)

Ready to go!
We came prepared with lots of snacks!

Go Tigers!

Yesterday we continued our annual (and one of my favorite) tradition of apple picking at Eckert's with my parents and sister's family.  It was a beautiful day but a bit too hot for my liking.  It should be cool and crisp for apple picking!  I think next year we might try to go in October in order to try to get a different variety of apples as well as cooler temperatures.  Of course if we do it will probably be 30 degrees! The kids had an absolute blast though and we brought home lots of apples!
Charlie loves apples!  He was so sticky!
We picked Red and Golden Delicious
After picking apples the kids enjoyed the carnival area.  I was surprised that after only a little convincing Peyton actually went on two little rides!  She had so much fun!  Charlie loved the petting zoo!

Pure joy!

We capped off the morning with lunch at the Eckert's Restaurant.  We travel with quite a crew these days!
