Prince charming

We've been reading a lot of fairy tales lately! Here they are re-enacting Snow White which is why Charlie pretends to eat an apple at the end.

Mother's Day

We had a nice weekend celebrating Mother's Day.  Saturday we had dinner at my parents.

We tried to get a picture of Lainie with all the grandkids and this is what we got :)

Sunday I had breakfast and gifts in bed before church and then we met Jason's mom and dad for brunch at Bonefish Grill.  We enjoyed a great meal and then it was home for naps (I took one too!) and a short trip to the park before the rain came in.  All in all a perfect way to celebrate!
Peyton was prepared for the rain at all times and protected from the sun with her umbrella/parasol.

Family Friday

Jason has been traveling a lot for work so when he took Friday off we took full advantage of the beautiful weather and headed to Forest Park for some family time.  We started at the zoo and then found a spot on Art Hill for a picnic lunch.  The kids were great (only minimal tears) and we really enjoyed the day.

All of the big cats were enjoying the warm sun!
Peyton and I took a ride on the train
We picked a spot on Art Hill for our picnic lunch.  We had a great view of the Grand Basin and the Art Museum.   And a field of dandelions, many of which came home with us!
 "Mom, we're exploring the clouds!"
Charlie refused to join us for a family picture so this is the best we could do :)

Zoo fun

My sister and I took all 5 kids to the zoo a couple of weeks ago while the girls and Peyton were on spring break.  It was a cloudy morning and sprinkled on and off so we didn't have to fight big crowds.  Peyton requested to see the elephants.  We also checked out the sea lions.  It's so fun to see this little crew growing up together.

 Lunch break!

Easter 2015

We had a great weekend celebrating Easter.  Jason took the day off Friday and we spent the day running errands and playing and dying eggs.  I even managed to sneak away for a bit to get a mani/pedi.

Oooh what's that?
Saturday we celebrated with Jason's family.  It was a beautiful day for an egg hunt and some baseball!
These two loved hunting for eggs!  It was so fun to watch them get excited every time they spotted one.
Erin teaching Peyton how to swing a bat.  She actually did pretty good!
Sunday morning Peyton and Charlie found their Easter baskets.  Peyton was so excited and we heard a lot of "Oh my goodness!"  She loved the purple headband, purse and princess figurines while Charlie was pumped about his cars and fruit snacks!
We got cleaned up and headed to church and then came home for lunch, time outside blowing bubbles and naps.
 My handsome boy!
I can't believe how big my girl is getting.
Then it was off to Lainie and Grandpa's for more egg hunting and dinner.
Happy Easter!
