I have no idea how four years have passed since our first baby was born. Time is moving so quickly sometimes I look around and wonder how we got to this point. It seems like just yesterday Peyton was the little baby I was rocking and nursing and somehow now we have two more kids and Nora is the one in my arms. Peyton turning four seems like a big deal for some reason. She is truly no longer a baby or even a toddler. She is a preschooler and many times seems even older! She is turning into a big kid right before my eyes.
At four years old Peyton:
- Goes to school 3 mornings a week and loves it. She excels at school and had a great report at parent/teacher conferences in October. I hope she keeps her love of learning.
- Is very friendly. Sometimes she surprises me with the ease that she talks to strangers - both adults and kids. She struck up a conversation with a woman in Target the other day. She always makes new friends when we go to the playground.
- Loves princesses.
- Had a fun and eventful Frozen birthday party which definitely deserves it's own post
- Is a great big sister. She is so sweet with Nora and Charlie and very protective of them. She and Charlie are great buddies now that he is old enough to play along with her games.
- Is a picky eater. She won't touch vegetables. She is VERY reluctant to try new things. She does eat a lot of fruit and enough good things that I don't worry about it too much but her dinner most night consists of noodles. We are working on it.
- Loves to sing and dance. She is always making up songs and dancing around the house.
- Has a great imagination. She loves to make up and tell stories.
- Is very sweet and thoughtful. She always has hugs and kisses for her family and often tells us how much she loves us. She almost always makes me a picture/craft/necklace when she is at school. She always asks Jason how is day at work was.
- Loves to draw/color/paint. Her drawing is really coming along and she likes to draw flowers, suns, hearts and rainbows.
- Is doing really well writing her letters. She can write her name and most letters of the alphabet.
- Loves to read
- Had her first overnight at Lainie and Grandpa's. She was soo excited!! She had a great time and did pretty well. She had a little trouble falling asleep but never was scared or upset or asked to come home.
- Loves her cousins. She talks about Millie and Merrill constantly. And Teddy as we we have to remind her ;)
- Is smart and witty and silly and beautiful inside and out. We love our big four year old!
